Apple Announces iPhone 2.0 Software Beta

Apple today previewed the iPhone 2.0 software — scheduled for release this June — and announced the immediate availability of a beta release of the software to selected developers and enterprise customers. The iPhone 2.0 beta includes both the iPhone Software Development Kit (SDK) and new enterprise features, such as support for Microsoft Exchange Active Sync and the addition of Cisco IPsec VPN. iPhone 2.0 Software beta non è disponibile a tutte le aziende, ma è necessario iscriversi.
Apple da questi prerequisiti (non penso siano un obbligo) aziendali:

A team of no more than five people to test the iPhone 2.0 software beta

One team member with administrative access to your IT infrastructure

A designated technical lead to act as a primary contact for Apple

All team members to read and accept the terms of the Apple Customer Seed and Confidentiality Agreement

A Mac computer using Mac OS X Leopard v10.5.2 or later

Up to five iPhones that are dedicated to testing the software and assigned to individual team members

Apple iPhone SDK – Oggi la presentazione!

 E’ arrivato il fatidico giorno! L’SDK per l’iPhone e l’iPod Touch è stata presentata al Software Roadmap Conference.
La confererenza è stata seguita live da Engadget.com

Riassumendo sembra che l’SDK verrà distribuita gratuitamente ai membri Apple Developer Connection, ma con dei limiti, soprattutto in relazione alle API d’interfacciamento con il Dock (vogliono forse tenere per loro tutti i software legati ad ipotetici accessori… ?)

Di sicuro tutti i dettagli verranno alla luce con il tempo, per ora gustatevi il dettagliatissimo liveblogging prodotto da Engadget.com
